Work is not sent away. Our team handles each piece on site, so nothing is handed off to unfamiliar hands at any stage.

On vintage pieces, we lean toward preserving existing patina and surfaces rather than over-polishing. The watch should look like itself, not a replacement.

Common Questions
We look at the movement before any work is committed. For a watch that has been running normally and is simply due a clean, the standard bench service is appropriate. If the watch is older, was inherited, or has cosmetic damage, we will discuss restoration options. Complicated or high-value pieces suit the collector overhaul. We are happy to advise once we have examined the watch.
A full mechanical service generally takes two to three weeks from drop-off to collection. Vintage restoration projects vary depending on parts availability and the extent of work agreed. Collector overhauls for complicated movements are quoted individually. We will give you an honest time estimate when we discuss your piece.
Our services focus on mechanical and automatic timepieces. If you have a quartz watch with a specific need — battery replacement, crown or stem work, or case service — please enquire and we will let you know if it is something we can assist with.
If we find additional work needed once the movement is open, we contact you before proceeding. You will always know what is happening and have the option to discuss the new scope before any further work is carried out.
Walk-ins are welcome during opening hours, though calling ahead for a vintage or collector piece allows us to have the right person available to do the initial assessment with you. For straightforward drop-offs, no appointment is needed.
Where possible, yes. Part of the vintage restoration approach is sympathetic sourcing — finding components that match the era and style of the original piece rather than fitting modern substitutes. This is discussed with you as part of the written assessment at the start of the project.
